Federal Agents Conduct Gang Sweep Raid in SSF

KTVU reports that South San Francisco was the scene of at least two such raids early this morning.

Homeland Security agents from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency conducted a gang sweep raid in South San Francisco early Thursday morning, according to KTVU.

ICE is the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s largest investigative unit that focuses on border control, customs, trade and immigration. The agency wouldn't release any information about the South San Francisco raid when contacted this morning.

The raid made the news when three Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents were injured in a similar operation on Thursday as well, while serving high-risk federal warrants to a home in Petaluma, according to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

The SWAT agents were with ICE's Homeland Security Investigations and were transported to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, agency spokeswoman Virginia Kice said.

One suspect was taken into custody, Kice said.

Kice said the Thursday raid was part of an ongoing, multi-agency criminal investigation.

If the police was doing their jobs correctly why is there still SO MANY GANG MEMBERS from CYPRESS running the streets? I'm afraid to go the Wells Fargo bank on LInden in fear that they will rob me AGAIN!!

It's always the fault of the police, isn't it? Blame the police when they take action and make arrests..."They are harassing us!" Then blame the police when something bad happens. I have a better idea. Most of these people out there committing these crimes are kids! Let's start holding the parents responsible! Why are these kids running around with guns and running with gangs! PARENT YOUR KIDS PEOPLE!
