Embassy Suites Hotel Robbed at Gunpoint, Suspect Gets Away With Cash

The South San Francisco hotel was robbed early Tuesday, according to police.

Police are searching for a man suspected of robbing a South San Francisco hotel at gunpoint early Tuesday morning.

According to South San Francisco police, at about 5 a.m., an unidentified suspect wearing a ski mask entered the Embassy Suites Hotel at 250 Gateway Blvd. and pointed a black semi-automatic handgun at a hotel clerk.

The suspect demanded money from the cash register and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

Police described the suspect as a black man who is about 6 feet tall with a slender build. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black ski mask and blue jeans, police said.
