None of them can! Where are the police? The people speed down old Mission Rd likes its a thoroughfare! OMR leads directly to Grand Ave. We NEED police enforcement! The police have grown complacent in having camera's do the work. Remember the days when police actually sat up there on ECR & Chestnut? Before the "Camera's"? Now where are they? Oh but forget the feed the meter and bam, you have a ticket. Park on wrong side of the street on flip-flop and you have a ticket. But speed all over and seriously hurt a senior...?Where were the cops?

South San Francisco's Costco is also dangerous! I was walking towards my car (I'm very Pregnant) and the Asian drivers are speeding around without a care in the world. One Asian man had the Nerve to beep at me as I was walking over to my car! Mind you I was not in the middle of the road but to the side!

Sorry folks, but more police enforcement is NOT going to improve the situation. The root of all these problems is the new attitude that prevails in our society now--"IT'S ALL ABOUT ME." I'm in a hurry , so other people need to get out of my way; I want to change lanes, so that other guy should move out of my way, or if I pretend he isn't there (because he doesn't count, only I do!) I can run him off the road because I want to be there. It's not just driving either--people slam doors in your face as you walk behind them at the store, walk in front of you as you look at something on a store shelf, become personal and vicious when you post on Patch something they don't agree with or understand. Until we return to a civility that we are only PART of this world, that we are not the center of the universe, and that society works best when there is respect for all, then you better watch out when crossing the street. BTW, I pray that the innocent victim in this incident is able to recover fully.

Costco is Very dangerous! They go through stop signs to get in there.

Are you saying they get "tips" for how many tickets are paid? Isn't that like GRAF?
wolfone December 11, 2012 at 01:20 AM
Yes Harry, I do agree with you. But still these "me, mine & me" people don't like to part with their money and if what Chris says is true...the police make Money on Tickets??? Well they could be handing them out on Old Mission RD and Grand where this poor person got HBC, I hope they will recover...

Harry, I think this youtube shows the type of people of whom you speak as this poor family of ducks tries to cross a highway.... youtu.be/mGMzGxeO1wQ

So Chris, they chose the easy way and just do parking and whatnot? They could come down on Mission RD and make a mint. Or go by Costco, watch all the people in such a hurry go through red lights? Its really bad. What can we do about it?

I liked the old Chief...he was nice. Don't know this chief. But maybe ;) He will read here and CPD also and get a clue! We don't need more signs or new cross walks we need existing laws to be enforced and that doesn't cost and might even make them money if they want to work. At the moment I am between two cities Colma & SSF so I am Venting at the Chief of Colma for starters :) And yes Venting in the news doesn't hurt :) Happy Holiday's Chris and all the Patch'rs....
