Drunks Fall in Bay and Out of Taxis

Selections from the police blotter for March 11 through March 13

Friday, March 11

2:29am  Police arrested a suspect who apparently hit a parked car on Miller Avenue, reportedly pushing the victim’s car onto the sidewalk.

8:30am  On Antoinette Lane, the window of a parked BMW was smashed sometime overnight, but nothing was reported as being taken from inside.

8:55am  Three gas cylinders were stolen sometime overnight from Cryospec Inc. on West Harris Avenue. The suspects reportedly cut a chain to gain entrance to the front yard.

1:06pm  Officers received a report that eight juveniles were smoking from a bong and being rude to passersby on Centennial Way behind South San Francisco High School.

Saturday, March 12

4:10am  A resident on Grand Avenue called police saying that an unknown male in a black hoodie tried to open her front door.

1:44pm  Police dispatched a unit to Los Compadres Taqueria on Grand Avenue, where an elderly man fell down and was bleeding.

1:59pm  Employees at Trader Joe’s on McLellan Drive called police when a transient male dressed in all black entered the premises and refused to leave, reportedly screaming profanities at shoppers.

Sunday, March 13

12:00am  A caller in the Ferndale/Miller Avenue area reported that a white cargo van was driving around and its passengers were shining a light on houses in the neighborhood.

6:36pm  A taxi driver called for police assistance near Denny’s on Airport Boulevard to deal with a passenger who was very intoxicated and falling out of the cab.

7:23pm  Firefighters requested assistance with a drunken subject who fell into the water at Oyster Point Marina.

9:56pm  Officers sent a cover unit to the scene of a suspected DUI accident at the intersection of Oyster Point Boulevard and Airport Boulevard. The driver reportedly hit the curb and a street sign, and was bleeding from the nose.
