A 17-year-old girl suffered minor injuries when struck by a hit-and-run driver in a South San Francisco crosswalk, police said Sunday.
The crash was reported shortly before 6:30 p.m. Saturday as the girl crossed West Orange Avenue, police said.
The eastbound car struck the girl's right leg; the driver had stopped at the intersection for a second, then drove on, apparently not spotting the teen, police said.
According to police, the driver then stopped a short distance away, got out and spoke with the victim before driving away.
Police were searching for the woman, described as white, in her 50s or 60s, with blond or white hair.
The car is a four-door, silver-colored vehicle.
Anyone with information on the suspect or the incident was asked to call police at 650-877-8900 or call the tip line at 650-952-2244.
