Dog Attacks Chicken; Man Parks Jet Ski on Public Street

Excerpts from the South San Francisco Police Log from Sept. 4 to Sept. 6.

Sept. 4

1:46am  A resident reported that groups of juveniles were walking up and down the street, and it looked like a fight was about to start.  The groups were gone when police arrived. 

3:30am   Police assisted a woman at Motel 6 on Mitchell Avenue who said she was suffering from insomnia and appeared distressed.  She had overdosed on anxiety medication due to her sleeping disorder.

3:44 am  Police took a report from a Spanish-speaking complainant on Grand Avenue who was drinking with a group of people.  He said he was only having a drink with them because he was scared.  Their friend wants to have him killed. 

3:53pm  Police arrested suspects in a petty theft at Costco.

Sept. 5

12:39am  A dispatcher called to say that customer was refusing to pay cab fare at Oyster Point Boulevard and Dubuque Avenue.  The car was gone when the police arrived.             

3:07pm  A caller named Mike said a man was harassing his friend's grandmother at the Magnolia Senior Center on Grand Avenue.

13:41pm  Police responded to a domestic dispute call on Duval Drive.  A woman reported that her husband hit her with his hand.           

8:53pm  Police responded to a report that people were setting off fireworks in the back yard of a house on the corner of Orange Avenue and Grand Avenue.  The fireworks were gone upon police arrival.

Sept. 6

9:31am  Caller reported that someone threw rocks at her car over the weekend and dented it.  She suspects a neighbor boy with whom she has had problems in the past.           

11:37am  A caller reported ongoing problems with her neighbor on Rowntree Way. He throws debris in her driveway, and she suspects him of damaging her car.

11:42am  Caller reported that her neighbor's dog on Carmelo Lane got loose and attacked her chicken.

12:36pm  A man reported that his daughter's boyfriend broke into his home on Alta Vista Drive last week and demanded sex with his daughter.  The father said that the boyfriend physically assaulted his daughter and stole her car.

12:46pm  A caller complained of noise from a silver truck.  He also said the truck owner parks his jet ski on the street.

6:35pm  The Oyster Point Marina Harbor Master complained that three men in a black mustang were smoking marijuana in the parking lot and blew the smoke into the Harbor Master's face.
