Crime Blotter: Man Flees CHP on Foot and Garage Sale Host Gets Aggressive

Selections from the police blotter for April 1-3.

Friday, April 1

1:21pm  Police were called to CVS Pharmacy on El Camino Real, where a woman was reportedly aggressively panhandling. She had a small child with her who had no shoes on.

5:01pm  At Rancho Market on Hillside Boulevard, a DUI driver reportedly hit several parked vehicles.

5:35pm  Three male juveniles were seen throwing water balloons at passing motorists on Armour Avenue.

10:59pm  A television and video games were among items stolen from a residence on Fir Avenue during a robbery that took place sometime during the day.

Saturday, April 2

10:29am  Two subjects got into a dispute at a garage sale on Grand Avenue. The man holding the sale reportedly grabbed and twisted a customer’s arm after an argument over the price of an item.

4:10pm  A caller from Costco on South Airport Boulevard reported that an elderly woman pumping gas appeared to have a gun in her waistband.

5:54pm  Officers issued a warning to several subjects who were drinking on the sidewalk on Juniper Avenue and reportedly forcing passersby to walk in the street.

Sunday, April 3

9:21am  The CHP requested the help of SSFPD after a subject they were pursuing got out of his car and fled on foot near 101 North at Airport Boulevard.

11:44am  Near the intersection of Grand Avenue and Cypress, a man reportedly threw a beer can out of  the window of a home at two people walking by.

5:14pm  The windshield of a 2011 Ford Mustang was smashed in near the Verizon store on El Camino Real. Nothing was taken from inside the vehicle.
