Crime blotter: Breaking and Entering, Youth Violence, and Counterfeit Money

Monday, March 28

10:32am  Near Costco on El Camino Real, the driver of a Toyota truck reportedly tried to run another vehicle off the road.

4:52pm  At the intersection of Alida Way and Alta Vista Drive, a vehicle reportedly hit a motorcyclist. The motorcyclist complained of pain in the arms and face.

10:50pm  A woman was taken to the emergency room after jumping from the balcony of her apartment to escape her husband, whom she said had punched her.

Tuesday, March 29

3:17am  A caller reported seeing a group of six males fighting in the parking lot near Travelodge on South Airport Boulevard.

5:41am  Police sent a cover unit to Cypress and Baden, where a cab driver reported that another cabbie hit him in the face.

12:06pm  Officers were called to Parkway Heights Middle School, where a student was reportedly behaving violently in class, throwing objects and making threats.

2:31pm  At Cresco on San Mateo Avenue, $4,000 worth of power cords were reported as stolen.

3:22pm  Witnesses reported several juveniles fighting and videotaping it near the intersection of B Street and Second.

4:10pm  A vehicle was egged by unknown assailants at Online Report on Belfast Court.

11:48pm  Police made an arrest on Commercial Avenue, where assailants wearing masks reportedly broke into a premises, first knocking on and then pushing in the front door.

Wednesday, March 30

8:48am  A caller from Orange Memorial Park said that a woman tried to touch her infant daughter, claiming the child was hers.

9:46am  Near the intersection of Roebling Road and East Grand Avenue, a big rig car carrier reportedly knocked down two street signs and then kept going towards Gateway Boulevard.

10:29am  Calls came in from Costco on El Camino Real, where a protest over working conditions was taking place outside the store.

12:58pm  A man was seen pushing and choking a female at a bus stop on Grand Avenue and Magnolia. Police sent a cover unit to investigate.

6:57pm  A customer at Pet Club on Westborough Boulevard reportedly tried to pay with a counterfeit $50 bill.
