Court Orders HIV Test in Child Sex Abuse Case

As expected, 36-year-old Leonardo Gonzalez entered a no contest plea to several child molestation charges on Monday.

According to San Mateo County District Attorney's notes, Gonzalez, of South San Francisco, engaged in sexual acts with his disabled daughter from 2008 until 2011.

In the final year of the abuse, when the daughter was 8, she was at the hospital for regular lab tests related to a chronic physical disability when doctors found sperm in her urine and traced it back to Gonzalez.

He will be back in court on July 24 for the reading of results of a court ordered HIV test.

Gonzalez has not yet been sentenced but the no contest plea is expected to result in a 20-year prison term, according to the DA's Office. He remains in custody without bail.
