Coroner's Office Identifies Motorcycle Crash Victim

San Mateo resident Raynard Wheeler, 50, died after losing control of his motorcycle on Hillside Boulevard.

The San Mateo County coroner's office has identified a  as 50-year-old Raynard Wheeler.

Officers responded to reports of a collision involving a motorcycle in the 1200 block of Hillside Boulevard at about 5:20 p.m., South San Francisco police said.

Wheeler, a San Mateo resident, had been riding west when he lost control of his motorcycle and hit a curb, police said.

He was ejected, and struck a concrete retaining wall bordering the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Anyone who might have witnessed the crash is asked to contact the South San Francisco Police Department's traffic division at (650) 877-8900.
