Boy Robbed During Assault Outside Safeway
Police said a group of four teens robbed a boy of his cellphone battery and keys during an assault.
A South San Francisco boy was robbed Wednesday evening of a cellphone battery and set of keys when he was assaulted outside a Safeway by a group of four young teens, police said today.
The boy was in the parking lot of 30 Chestnut Ave. at about 7 p.m. when the four suspects approached him from behind and tried to take his bicycle, police said.
He tried to fight back, and the suspects assaulted him.

The boy was not injured, but the suspects managed to steal the battery and keys before riding away on their own bikes north on Chestnut Avenue.
The suspects were described as three Hispanic boys between 14 and 15 years old who are 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall with stocky builds.

The fourth suspect was described as a white male about 13 or 14 years old, between 5 feet 2 inches and 5 feet 6 inches tall, with a thin build and long brown hair.
