Blotter: Vehicle Arson, Strongarm Robbery and Car Wash Vandalism

Thursday, February 23

10:04am  Officers made an arrest near Baden High, where a student found to be in possession of marijuana attempted to flee school grounds.

10:26am  Firefighters responded to the scene of a suspected arson case after receiving a call that a vehicle was on fire near Orchard Supply Hardware on Gellert Boulevard.

Friday, February 24

5:07am  A vehicle was reportedly stolen sometime overnight while parked in front of the Hilton Garden Inn on Gateway Boulevard.

11:06am  The rear window of a Ford Taurus parked at Denny’s on Airport Boulevard was reportedly smashed in.

11:32am  Police responded to South City Car Wash on El Camino Real, where it was reported that a man was kicking over buckets and throwing rocks at cars.

Saturday, February 25

4:33pm  Officers made an arrest on McLellan Drive after receiving a report that a man who appeared drunk was staggering around throwing rocks at apartment windows.

2:20pm  Police responded to the scene of a strong arm robbery on Tanforan Avenue, where the victim had been forced to the ground and threatened with a baseball bat.

Sunday, February 26

4:59am  Police received a report from La Quinta Motor Inn on Airport Boulevard that a group of men and women were running up and down the hall, knocking on guest doors, laughing and yelling.

Monday, February 27

5:53pm  Police responded to Chestnut Avenue near Mission Road, where a man in a red hot rod with black stripes reportedly threatened to run someone down.

7:52pm  Medics were called after a woman was found passed out inside a restroom at Denny’s on Airport Boulevard.
