Blotter: The Cat Lady Strikes Again

Monday, August 22
9:32am A street department employee called police reporting that an unknown person had painted a stop sign line at Forestview and Crestwood Drives.
10:14am At La Quinta Motor Inn, a laptop was reportedly stolen from inside a parked Jeep Cherokee.

11:52am Police were called to Beijing Buffet on South Airport Boulevard when unknown subjects were reportedly using a water hook-up connected to the restaurant to wash their car and refused to stop when told not to.
12:32pm Officers made an arrest at Costco on El Camino Real after a female was caught shoplifting socks. Security said that the woman did not speak English and would not give her name.

1:16pm A resident on Delvin way arrived home to find her house ransacked. She told police that she had last been home around 10am, and that the suspects had gained entry through the garage.
3:45pm Police made a report at Orange Memorial Park, where vandals had bent the wings on the park’s “Blue Trees and Sky” sculpture installation.
Tuesday, August 23
8:26am All four tires on a Ford Bronco parked on Northwood Drive were reportedly slashed sometime overnight.
5:21pm Minor injuries were incurred after a vehicle slammed into a light pole near the intersection of Sister Cities and Airport Boulevards.
9:01pm A female called police to report that the “cat lady” at Orange Memorial Park threatened to cut her head off during the day.
Wednesday, August 24
8:40am A caller requested that police conduct a welfare check for a juvenile who looked to be around 13 years old who was seen sleeping on a bench in front of Supercuts on El Camino Real.
