Blotter: Victim Tracks Stolen iPhone

The following information was supplied by the South San Francisco Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, January 16

1:56pm  Police sent a unit to the letters on Sign Hill, where subjects were spotted painting the “A” pink.

2:48pm  Officers and firefighters responded to Ninth Lane, where a five-year old reportedly fell out of a one-story window. Callers reported the child was breathing but unconscious.

8:52pm  Officers made an arrest on Miller Avenue after a passerby reported hearing screaming and fighting between a male and female in the area.

Tuesday, January 17

12:05pm  Employees at Howard Johnson on South Airport Boulevard called police saying that a guest who had been staying in a room for a week was refusing to pay and would not answer the phone or leave the room.

1:08pm  The victim of an iPhone robbery was able to track the stolen phone to Specialty’s Café on Grandview Drive, where officers made an arrest.

Wednesday, January 18

9:58am  Police and firefighters responded to the BART station on Mission Road, where reports came in that a man in his 40’s was jumping in front of cars and making threats of suicide.

5:20pm  Officers received a report of a hit-and-run accident on Armour Avenue, where a child was reportedly hit by a vehicle. The child’s injuries were unknown at the time of the report.

11:14pm  Police arrested a DUI driver on Cypress Avenue.
