Sunday, July 7
9:53am A third party caller reported a road rage confrontation between the driver of a GMC pickup truck and a bicyclist on Grand Avenue at Linden. The caller was concerned that the driver would follow the cyclist for another confrontation.
2:54pm Employees at the Grosvenor on South Airport Boulevard called police after a guest checked out and left a gun behind in the room.

6:15pm A Hispanic male wearing a red bandana and a black hoodie reportedly snatched a woman’s purse in the area of Linden and Aspen Avenues and then ran in the direction of Liberty Market.

1:21am At IHOP on South Airport Boulevard, two males and a female reportedly sat down to look at menus, but left without ordering anything. The trio instead stole a neon “Miller Genuine Draft” sign off the restaurant’s wall and took off in a dark colored Saturn.
6:16am Ling Nam Noodle on Gellert Boulevard was reportedly burglarized sometime overnight. Employees entered the restaurant to find the cash drawer open and empty and the office rummaged through.
11:08pm A guest at the Marriot Courtyard on Veterans Boulevard reported that her $4,000 Chanel purse had been stolen sometime during her weekend stay.
3:57pm Police received a report that the male driver of an older model Chevy Astro van was harassing two young women on El Camino Real near South Spruce Avenue.
Tuesday, July 9
11:21am Officers made a report on El Camino Real near Costco after receiving a call that a male and female were involved in a physical disturbance on the sidewalk. The male was reportedly pulling on the female so she could not get away.
12:10pm On Third Lane, a woman called police requesting that they arrest her 11-year-old nephew after he stole her necklace. The boy reportedly confessed to the crime, but his aunt said that he had a history of theft.
12:49pm A gun holster and a bag of narcotics were found in a room at the Oyster Marina Point Inn after its occupant checked out.
9:01pm A man house-sitting for his brother on Village Way reported that someone had set fire to a Yellow Pages book in the home’s entry way sometime during the day. He was worried the culprits may have also tried to break into the home.
9:03pm Another resident on Village Way reported that someone rang her doorbell at 2am and that when she looked outside, someone had set a sock filled with feces on fire by the door.
