Blotter: 49ers Ticket Scam

The following information was supplied by the South San Francisco Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, January 20

1:26pm  Police made an arrest at South San Francisco High School, where a student had been detained after school employees discovered items used for graffiti in the student’s possession. Two school walls had reportedly been tagged.

11:34pm  Officers arrested a DUI driver at Crown Circle and Hickey Boulevard.

Saturday, January 21

12:11am  Officers sent a unit to Tamarack Lane, where a caller reported seeing a man in the alley wearing a house arrest ankle bracelet, whom he suspected of trying to steal a van.

10:20am  A stereo was stolen out of a vehicle parked on Franklin Avenue sometime overnight.

9:37pm  A resident on Alta Loma Drive called police after witnessing four men with flashlights prowling around her yard. She reportedly scared them off by flashing her lights on and off.

11:35pm  Police sent a unit to Highland Avenue after getting a call that multiple subjects with bats were fighting.

Sunday, January 22

7:07am  Police received a report from someone who claimed that he was scammed out of $400 while trying to buy 49er tickets online from someone in Bakersfield.

5:48pm  Police received report of a cherry bomb going off in the street on Elm Court.

7:48pm  Residents reported hearing fireworks going off on Tamarack Lane.

11:12pm  A caller reported that a dark colored vehicle was driving on the wrong side of the road at around 60 mph on Westborough Boulevard near Junipero Serra.
