Blotter: It's a Dog Chase Dog World

Sunday, August 14

9:23am  A white 1997 Honda Accord was reportedly stolen sometime overnight from Sunnyside Drive.

7:07pm  A loose pit bull reportedly chased down a man walking a small dog near Chestnut Avenue at Grand.

Monday, August 15

5:58am  Police received a report of road rage that started on the 101 South freeway, where a man driving a gold Oldsmobile or Buick tried to force another driver off the road. The subject then reportedly followed the victim onto city streets, making verbal threats and hand gestures.

9:06am  Officers responded to the  scene of a hit-and-run accident at the intersection of Chestnut Avenue and El Camino Real, where the driver of a black four-door sedan hit another vehicle in the intersection and then fled when the two pulled over to exchange information.

11:10am Police responded to the scene of a major injury accident on El Camino Real near Country Club Drive, where a vehicle hit a pedestrian.

12:44pm  An employee at the Shell station on Airport Boulevard called police when a customer who refused to pay for oil made threats against his life.

Tuesday, August 16

2:40pm  Police referred to another department to deal with a reported raw sewage leak on First Lane.

3:37pm  Police sent a cover unit to the area surrounding the Four Points Inn on South Airport Boulevard after a witness reported seeing a vehicle get broken into and the suspect run northbound.

7:19pm  At Buri Buri School, an off-leash dog reportedly attacked another dog who was on a leash.
