Blotter: Cash Stolen From Church Sanctuary

The following information was supplied by the South San Francisco Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, September 5

8:35am  Police received a report that a purse was snatched from inside a vehicle parked at the Valero station on Westborough Boulevard.

3:01pm  Officers headed to El Camino Real at Hickey Boulevard after receiving a report that a large Juniper tree had fallen down and was blocking some of the traffic lanes.

3:31pm  Eight break-ins were reported in separate units at Public Storage on Oyster Point Boulevard. The reporting caller believed the crimes had taken place sometime overnight.

4:28pm  Reports came in of vandalism at Mills Montessori School on Hillside Boulevard, where the men’s restroom suffered damage and garbage cans were lit on fire.

Tuesday, September 6

2:31pm  Officers received a report that an older model black Oldsmobile with orange stripes was doing donuts in the intersection of Junipero Serra and Avalon Drive, blocking cars getting off the freeway.

9:31pm  The window of a blue Honda Civic was smashed while parked in a Genentech parking lot on Gateway Boulevard. It was unknown if anything was taken at the time of the report.

Wednesday, September 7

6:36am  A 1986 blue Honda Civic was stolen while parked at Shell on Airport Boulevard. The victim had reportedly left the keys in the vehicle and then gone inside the store when a man drove off in the car.

3:13pm  Three juveniles were reportedly on the roof of the ceramics studio on Tennis Drive, breaking the awning.

4:49pm  Cash was stolen from the sanctuary in front of All Souls Church on Walnut Avenue. The culprits had reportedly gained entry with a crow bar.

5:30pm  On Longford Drive, a house was reportedly ransacked sometime during the day. The victim came home to find the assailants had gained entry through an open bedroom window.
