Blotter: Beer Causes Traffic Hazard on 101

The following information was supplied by the South San Francisco Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, October 7

7:40am  Gasoline was reportedly siphoned from a Ford van parked on Dubuque Avenue sometime overnight. The caller reported that the tank had been full but was left at only a quarter full and the ground smelt of gas.

4:11pm  A Genentech employee reported that her wedding band set (valued at around $5,000) was stolen from a restroom in the building sometime during the day.

7:42pm  Officers received a report of a physical altercation between at least eight males and females on Grand Avenue.

11:08pm  SSFPD assisted San Bruno police who needed a K9 unit for a foot pursuit. The subject was reportedly jumping onto different roofs in a residential neighborhood.

Saturday, October 8

2:58pm  Police received a report that approximately 30 cases of beer had fallen off a truck driving northbound on Highway 101 near South Airport Boulevard, causing a traffic hazard.

8:24pm  Three males reportedly stole rum from Pak N Save on Gellert Boulevard, taking off in a white Jeep.

Sunday, October 9

12;23am  A resident on Commercial Avenue called police after an unknown subject threw a beer can through the apartment window.

8:55am  Police received a report from a passerby that a dark colored SUV had rolled over into bushes on Skyline Boulevard near Hickey.

8:45pm  A report came in of a suspected drunken bicyclist on Orange Avenue near Railroad Avenue. The caller said that the cyclist was riding in the middle of the street and kept falling over.
