The votes and comments are in, and this afternoon we announce the best place in South City to eat pizza and pasta just like Nonna used to make.
In our inaugural , 74 voters cast their ballots for the restaurant that has authentic, delicious Italian food.
And the winner is: , which serves pizza, as well as Italian cuisine and desserts in downtown South San Francisco.

Receiving 29 votes in the contest, the casual dining restaurant offers lunch and dinner Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
received 26 votes in the "Best of" contest. One person commented that "Buon Gusto is a remarkable restaurant with great authenticity. Vincenzo Vecchiola understands what is needed for a great dining experience."
