This year, to let you experience its annual Trivia Challenge from home.
The Project Read is a yearly fundraiser that combines a raffle, auction, dinner and competitive team trivia challenge to raise money and awareness for the adult literacy nonprofit. This year, if you can't make it to the fundraiser, you can still join in on the trivia fun from home.
I'll be at the Trivia Challenge, and starting at 7:30 p.m., I'll be blasting the questions over the internet via Twitter and a Patch live blog. You'll have about 20 seconds to respond with your answer each time. The person who gets the most right answers wins a goody bag of Patch swag.
How to Play:
Tonight at 7:30 p.m., start watching the Patch Twitter feed (if you have a Twitter account) or go to the South San Francisco Patch homepage and click on the top story, which will be a live blog of the trivia questions. Please choose either Twitter or the live blog; you can only participate through one medium.
Twitter: If you're playing on Twitter, make sure you're signed into your account, and simply reply to the questions with your answer. Make sure "@SSFPatch" is in the text of your reply, which it will be if you click on the "reply" link under my Tweet. Remember, you'll only have about 20 seconds to give your answer before I Tweet the official answer.
Patch: On the live blog, you can type your answers into the "questions and comments" box at the bottom of the live stream. Be sure to put your name in the name box, and use the same name for all of your answers. Again, you'll only have about 20 seconds to input each answer before I blog the official answer.
Winning: I will announce the official winner shortly after the contest ends. Please check the blog or Twitter to see if you have won. If you win, I'll ask you to send your name and address to firstname.lastname@example.org so I can send you your prize.
Still confused? See the attached screenshots that illustrate how to enter, or ask your questions in the comments below.
This contest is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 and older. Have fun, and may the trivia master win.
