Fair Housing Session in South City Looks for Your Input

The meeting is Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Community Services Building on Arrroyo Drive.

The County of San Mateo, along with the cities of Daly City, Redwood City, San Mateo, and South San Francisco, are currently conducting a study regarding fair housing known as the "Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice".

Tomorrow, county representatives will be in South San Francisco to get input from you as they put the analysis together.

The San Mateo County Department of Housing assists very low, low and moderate income residents through financing and community development in order to stabilize and improve their quality of life.

One part of the department provides loan financing, project funding and technical assistance in addition to services provided through partnerships with non-profit organizations, other public agencies and the private sector.

As part of this analysis, fair housing forums like the one in South City are being held to discuss the importance of the study and preliminary findings.

If you're interested, you're asked to show up and provide your knowledge, opinions, and feelings about fair housing choices available in our area.

Refreshments will be provided.

Every year I buy more school supplies and art supplies for the teachers and they know they canRead More always count on me for more whenever needed. I'm a strong believer in encouraging children to be creative and get rid of the barriers to the freedom of self expression.

We help by asking teachers if they need anything. They'll drop hints and we'll go and purchase theRead More products. Most, if not all, parents are willing to help their children's classes if they are able to. It's really unfair for the teachers to purchase supplies out of their own pockets.
