Kaiser Permanente Physician shares health tips at Junior Giants Kickoff Event

Tuesday evening, June 18th at the South San Francisco Junior Giants kickoff presentation, Kaiser Permanente’s Dr. Betty Lee OB/Gyn, Daly City talked to more than a hundred parents and children about eating healthy and the importance of avoiding surgery drinks.  The Junior Giants program is being offered this summer by the South San Francisco Parks and Recreation Department.

Junior Giants is a great opportunity for boys and girls age 8 to 13 to learn baseball skills in a non-competitive and fun format.  Those children who participate attend one practice a week and play their games on Saturday.

Junior Giants is more than just about learning and playing baseball, it is also about character development, health, education and violence prevention.
