South San Francisco High School Senior Awarded Scholarship by Kaiser Permanente

Kaiser Permanente awards El Camino High Senior a scholarship to college.

The annual South San Francisco Chamber of Commerce scholarship luncheon was held Thursday at Dominic’s Banquets Hall at Oyster Point.  More than 20 students were awarded scholarships.  Among them, Mia Celedio, a senior at El Camino High School in South San Francisco, who received  a $1,000 scholarship from Kaiser Permanente.

Representing the health organization was Sheila Fusaro, Assistant Medical Group Administrator and newly elected Chamber Board member. Kaiser Permanente annually sponsors a scholarship for a local youth.

Ms. Celedio was excited by the scholarship award and says she plans on attending the University of California at Irvine in the fall.  She says her goal is to go to medical school and become an obstetrician.
