Kaiser Permanente South San Francisco Physicians Giving Back to the Community
Kaiser Permanente South San Francisco physicians donate to support CORA and their work against abuse.
Physicians at Kaiser Permanente South San Francisco are giving back to the community which is the core of the healthcare organizations mission. At the annual physician's luncheon today, March 29th, the group presented a $5,000 donation to CORA (Community Overcoming Relationship Abuse).
This is the second year the physicians have donated to the community at their annual event. Scott Tsunehara, MD, Assistant Physician in Chief said, "Domestic violence and abuse is a silent crime and as physicians we see many of the people who have been victimized. We believe that through this effort and those of our community benefit support programs we are forming and strengthening key partnerships that are making a difference."
Melissa Lukin, CORA’s Executive Director, truly appreciated KP’s donation noting the long term partnership through KP’s community benefit organization.
