Kaiser Permanente Administrator to Join SSF Chamber Board

Kaiser Permanente South San Francisco Administrator will be installed as one of 5 new board members in the city's Chamber of Commerce Friday, February 15th, 6 PM at the SSF Conference Center.

This year marks the 100th Anniversary of the South San Francisco Chamber of Commerce and it’s role to promote and support business and the community.  On Friday evening, February 15th, 5 new board members will be installed. Among them, Kaiser Permanente South San Francisco’s Sheila Fusaro, the medical centers Assistant Medical Administrator. Kaiser Permanente’s mission is to give back to the communities it serves and to that end it has been a major supporter of the Chamber for the past 64 years and will be recognized Friday night. Sheila Fusaro is just another example of how physicians and staff actively participate and volunteer in the communities Kaiser Permanente serves throughout the Northern California region.

Sheila began her career at Kaiser Permanente 35 years ago at the Santa Clara Medical Center after being trained as a radiology and nuclear medicine tech. She has since earned her BS in Business Administration and her MBA from San Jose State University. After 10 years at the Santa Clara Kaiser facility, she transferred to South San Francisco and held several operational management positions in the area of Imaging Services. Eight years ago a leadership opportunity opened and she assumed the Assistant Medical Group Administrator’s position and oversees numerous medical, surgical and operational departments to provide quality care and service to members.

Sheila says she is delighted to have the opportunity to work with the Business Community in South San Francisco during the course of her two year term.
