Who Do You Trust: Pediatricians

Who's your go-to with your kids' health?

When a new family moves into your neighborhood and they ask for your recommendations for stores, take-out places or professional services, what do you say?

With a newborn on the way, I've been lately asking friends and neighbors to recommend pediatricians. So now I'll ask you: who do you trust with your kids' health? Can you recommend a pediatrician who's caring, listens well and doesn't mind late-night phone calls?

Leave your suggestions in the comments below.

Bay Area Pediatrics for sure! Been going there for > 13 years. I agree Dr. Burstyn is good. My daughters have seen all the female docs - Dr. Jain, Dr. Ribeiro, Dr. Stevens & [brain fart; her name escapes me - Russian lady] - and they're ALL terrific. It must be a good place to work, too b/c most of the doctors a d even some of the staff have been there > 20 years. I highly recommend them. Dr. Jain even came to our son's funeral, and he had never been her patient!

Dr. Nancy Tucker of the Brown and Toland Medical Group at Stonestown. She's a real people person/physician.

Thank you for the wonderful suggestions! I got these ones on Facebook as well: "Kaiser at Daly City - Dr. Laura Prager. She's great!" http://www.facebook.com/SouthSanFranciscoPatch "Dr. Chan at Kaiser DC saved my little girl. He's wonderful with my preschooler and can even get through to my 13 year old."
