Ghirardelli Square Tree Lighting Festival

A family celebration steeped in San Francisco tradition, The 48th Annual Ghirardelli Square Tree Lighting Ceremony will feature a new, artificial and environmentally friendly tree—the tallest on the wharf. The event, hosted by NBC Bay Area Meteorologist Christina Loren, begins at 1 p.m. with music, entertainment, and surprises for the whole family. The day culminates in the traditional Tree Lighting Ceremony at 5:30 p.m., when the landmark square will illuminate in the glow of the 55-foot tree.
