Ursula Marsten will be the speaker at our November luncheon meeting.  Ursula is the owner of the well-loved White Rose Boutique in San Francisco’s West Portal area.  The store was named after the White Rose Society, a German youth group fearlessly dedicated to opposing Nazi tyranny and to which Ursula’s mother was a member.  Ursula also lived in Vancouver, B.C., where she was a member of a swimming team for which she won 2 bronze medals in the British Empire Games. Ursula’s commitment and dedication to fundraising is well known in the Bay Area.  She will speak to us about her life in Germany and North America, her drive and determination, and her rise to success.

Every year I buy more school supplies and art supplies for the teachers and they know they canRead More always count on me for more whenever needed. I'm a strong believer in encouraging children to be creative and get rid of the barriers to the freedom of self expression.

We help by asking teachers if they need anything. They'll drop hints and we'll go and purchase theRead More products. Most, if not all, parents are willing to help their children's classes if they are able to. It's really unfair for the teachers to purchase supplies out of their own pockets.
