A busy day for the school district.

1. The South San Francisco Unified School District will present another Familias Latinas meeting tonight at 7pm. Open to the public, the meeting will be held at Salon Morelos on Miller Avenue.

2. Also in the news today for SSFUSD, the district will hold a special board meeting tonight at 6pm. Meeting in the board room at 398 B Street, the board will have a short closed session before opening up the floor for public questions and comments.

3. Spanish speaking families can visit the at 3pm today for the weekly storytime. Children three to five years old can enjoy hearing their favorite stories read in Spanish and make new friends all hour long.

4. Curious children and inquisitive adults alike can discover the wonders of San Francisco's Exploratorium for free today. The engaging museum offers free admission each first Wednesday of the month.

5. Tonight marks the first night of Hanukah. Revelers can come to Union Square in San Francisco to watch the lighting of the first candle on the giant Bill Graham Menorah at 5pm.
