What do you want Patch to cover? Enter your story idea in the comments for a chance to have it covered on Patch.

I feel like I say it all the time when I'm emailing readers, talking to people in South City and posting on Facebook and Twitter, but let me say it again: Patch is the community's forum.

Many of you already comment on articles, review businesses in Patch Places and post events and announcements. And we're always looking for people from all segments of the community to .

Here's a new opportunity for you to affect what you see on Patch. Leave a comment that describes the burning issue that you think is most important in South San Francisco, and you'll have the chance to see it covered on Patch. Once we get enough comments, I'll create a poll that will let readers vote on their favorite story idea. I or a Patch contributor will do a story on the topic before the end of February.

A few disclaimers: I reserve the right to filter story ideas based on practicality and propriety. Please keep in mind that editorially, Patch is non-partisan, and we strive to report all stories in a balanced, fair and fact-based manner. (If you would like to see more opinionated pieces on Patch, please .) Depending on how many submissions we get, I may have to narrow down the ideas that seem most popular before creating the poll.

And one final note: this is not your only opportunity to get your favorite issues reported on Patch. You can send news tips and story ideas to drew@patch.com at any time, and I regulary report stories based on reader tips. This is just a fun way see what issues are most pressing to readers today.
