South City School Board Election Filing Period Begins

Two seats on the South San Francisco school board will be up for election this fall.

South San Franciscans will elect candidates to fill two seats on the South San Francisco Unified School District Board of Trustees on November 2. Today marks the beginning of candidates' filing period, which ends August 10.

Judy Bush and Maurice Goodman currently sit on the board and seek reelection this fall.

Maurice Goodman was elected to his seat on the South San Francisco Unified School District Board of Trustees in 2008 and was board president in 2011. He works for the Boys & Girls Clubs and plans to run for reelection. His priority for his next term would be "insuring that the [Measure J] bond funds are utilized properly and in the best interests of our community."

Judy Bush is president of the South San Francisco Unified School District Board of Trustees, and was first elected to the board in November 2008. She is seeking reelection this November.
