The Week Ahead: Senior Picnic In the Park

Seniors are invited to enjoy a lunch prepared by SSFFD members.

Local seniors are invited to join the South San Francisco Fire Department this Friday for good food and tunes under the summer sun.

The city's Parks & Recreation department is hosting the senior picnic on August 17, from 11 am until 1 pm, at the Joseph Fernekes Recreation Building, located at 781 Tennis Drive in Orange Memorial Park.

Attendees will be able to relax and socialize while enjoying a lunch prepared by members of the city fire department.

A meal of barbecued chicken, baked beans, potato salad as well as a drink and desert will come with the purchase of a $10 admission ticket.

The Dave Crimmen Band will also perform their unique brand of rock and roll music throughout the afternoon.

Those interested in attending are encouraged to reserve a seat by calling the Magnolia Senior Center at (650) 829-3820.

Do you plan on attending? Let us know in the comments section.
