Obama Supports Gay Marriage. What's Your Take?

How do you feel about the president's announcement?

President Barack Obama announced today that his "evolving" position on gay marriage has evolved to the point that he now supports the institution.

The announcement comes after Vice President Joe Biden recently announced his support.

What's your take on the president's announcement? Is this a landmark step for civil rights or a controversial position? Do you believe that Obama's views have changed, or is he simply more comfortable publicly supporting gay marriage now that a majority of Americans do as well?

This is fantastic! Equality is what this country is all about. Yes, I'm "straight"!

Comment was made to distract from the real issues – jobs and economy. The president’s personal position on gay marriage does nothing for or against that cause.
