This week, we’ve picked some top spots around town to get active in fun ways. Whether it’s shooting hoops on your local park’s basketball court or learning tae kwon do at the nearest studio, there are plenty of options for getting out and keeping fit close by.

You can put on your knee socks and play outdoors at anytime, but once the rain sets in, this may be your best bet for running the field. This soccer studio offers year-round play for men and women, with youth and adult classes available.

Learn valuable self-defense techniques while getting in shape at this Huntington Avenue studio. The Japanese fighting technique practiced here teaches students to manipulate an opponent’s force and energy to overpower him or her.
