Five Things You Need to Know Today

1. Skyline College's Main Theater will host two morning productions of today, at 9:30am and again at 11am. The modern kid's classic tale of tortuous substitute teacher Viola Swamp is presented by the California Theater Center and is perfect for children from kindergarten through fifth grade.

2. Assemble your most trivia-savvy friends and head down to the for tonight's . From 5:30 to 9pm, teams from throughout the peninsula will compete for the title of "Trivia Champions of Northern San Mateo County." In addition to the competition, the fundraising event will feature dinner and a silent auction, with proceeds benefiting Project Read.

3. Another Friday means another test for the Colts. Coming off two straight losses, the Colts hope to regain a winning record against the Mustangs of San Bruno's Capuchino High. El Camino hosts the action starting at 2:45pm.

4. Come tour the work of local photographers today and tomorrow at the Betty Weber Gallery's . Enjoy free admission from 6 to 8pm tonight or 10am until 4pm tomorrow.

5. Families with autistic children can feel at ease bringing their loved ones to tomorrow's presentation of "Megamind." Put on by AMC and the Autism Society, tomorrow's showing begins at 10am at the AMC 14 Van Ness theater in San Francisco, and is tailored to accommodate the varying needs of children on the autism spectrum.
