Sprouts and Shutters: BioSurplus Opens South City Showroom

Patch will periodically tell readers about businesses that are opening and closing in South San Francisco.

BioSurplus, a leading supplier of pre-owned laboratory instruments and equipment management services announced the opening of their new showroom and warehouse 111 Kimball Way, South San Francisco.

The company previously had a showroom in Fremont but decided to move after receiving feedback from some customers and clients.  “We’re really happy to be locating there,” said company spokesman Grant Goad from the company’s San Diego headquarters.  “It’s a great location and we’re definitely looking to grow.”

The new South City location will feature a service and repair lab as well as the showroom and warehouse.

According to Goad the company handles equipment ranging from microscopes to DNA sequencers.  BioSurplus counts leading research universities like Stanford, UCSF and UCSD among its customers.

The company will host a grand opening –Cinco de Bio- celebration on May 3.
