South San Francisco Unemployment Continues Slow Downward Trend
The numbers look good for South San Francisco's labor force.
South San Francisco's unemployment rate was 10.1 percent in February, according to data recently released by the California Employment Development Department.
That's down from 10.2 percent in December, and well down from September's 11.1 percent. Unemployment was up slightly in January, at a rate of 10.3 percent.
San Mateo County's unemployment rate for February was 8.3 percent, and California's overall rate for December was 12.3 percent.
