Put on a Sweater and Enjoy a Summer Treat

Great places locals can enjoy ice cream in defiance of the thermometer.

Although our days of real summer-like weather tend to be few and far between here on the upper part of the Peninsula, that does little to stop the yearning to take part in summer time activities. While frolicking in sprinklers and walking around in shorts may be out of the question most days, summer screams for ice cream no matter what the thermometer says. Here are a few favorite spots in and around town to get an ice cream fix this summer.

A family favorite, this San Bruno shop emits a classic ice cream parlor vibe, with sundae and frozen yogurt creations, and a playroom in the back to keep kids entertained while on their sugar highs.
