You could stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in. But we've got a better idea. Each week, Patch picks a great restaurant either in town or nearby that is worth checking out. Here's this week's choice:
-- Fine dining followed by a night out with a full bar and contemporary lounge? Yes, please. This spot has it all, from Spanish-Filipino cuisine to a DJ dance club to a music hall feturing pop headliners (Stephen Bishop, Joey Albert, John Ford Coley, David Pomerantz).
Try the Paella Intramuros: Longganisa, clams, adobo, squid, smoked bangus, salted egg, and tomato in saffron rice, or one of three other paellas. The dishes are flavorful and authentic to the culture, from the oxtail Kare-Kare to Inihaw Pa Pusit, grilled cuttlefish in honey-soy glaze. Entrees range from $10 to $25, most in the $10-$15 range.
