Best Deals on Saint Patrick's Day Favorites

Our local bargain hunter tracks down the best prices on corned beef, cabbage, and Guinness.

While many Bay Area residents have already kicked off Saint Patrick’s Day celebrations at the 160th annual parade in San Francisco, you still have a few days to pick up all those Irish favorites to serve up to family and friends this Thursday.

In honor of the holiday, South City markets have everything you need and at competitive prices. You’ll find Irish-style bangers, corned beef brisket, plenty of Guinness Draught Stout, and even little shamrock plants.

Run into this week and you’ll likely find a sample station of succulent corned beef next to the big chunks of meat for sale. If this is a dish you’ve never tried making before, let the chef answer any and all of your cooking questions.
