Behind the Scenes: New Grocery Outlet

Owners Dave and Michelle Radcliffe gave me a special behind-the-scenes tour of South San Francisco's new Grocery Outlet, scheduled to open on March 24.

Starting March 24, South San Franciscans will have a new option for grocery shopping.

Grocery Outlet, a chain of stores that offers overstock brand-name goods, produce, meat, dairy, wine and other products at steep discounts, will be opening at 125 Hickey Boulevard.

Owners Dave and Michelle Radcliffe are operating their first store, but they're not new to the grocery business. Dave Radcliffe worked at Trader Joe's for 26 years and retired as a regional vice president.
