Realtor Faces Year in Prison for Prostitute Assault

The disgraced businessman claimed he was meeting the woman for a "massage date."

The hammer is finally dropping Friday on David Patrick Omara, a South San Francisco real estate agent who got into a motel room scuffle last summer with a woman he claimed was a prostitute.

In June of 2012, police responded to a noise complaint at the Travelodge and ofund Omara on the ground over a woman, binding her legs and feet with duct tape.

According to San Mateo County District Attorney's notes, Omara told police they should arrest the woman because she was a prostitute. He claimed her met her online and thought they were meeting up for a "massage date."

The woman, however, claims that Omara entered her motel room, threatened to kill her, punched her multiple times then taped her legs and feet.

Omara entered a no contest plea on June 17 of this year to assault, burglary, making criminal threats and imprisonment and is set to be sentenced, up to one year, on Friday.

Before the sentencing, Omara spent the time since his plea out of custody on $150,000 bail.
