South City Dancer On America's Got Talent

In case you missed it, this past week the San Mateo dance troupe Academy of Villains hit it big on NBC's America's Got Talent.

Talk about talent. Watch this video clip of the theater-based dance group Academy of Villains from the San Mateo dance studio, House of Mayhem.

South City's own Austin Gumban performed with the troupe.

The dancers wowed the judges, and advanced to the next round. Who knew Queen and hip hop went so well together.

According, to the Academy's own web page: "they have become well-known and respected in the freestyle scene. Consisting of Breakers, Poppers, Lockers, and Krumpers these dancers have set the ultimate goal of making their mark."

America's Got Talent airs Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

Every year I buy more school supplies and art supplies for the teachers and they know they canRead More always count on me for more whenever needed. I'm a strong believer in encouraging children to be creative and get rid of the barriers to the freedom of self expression.

We help by asking teachers if they need anything. They'll drop hints and we'll go and purchase theRead More products. Most, if not all, parents are willing to help their children's classes if they are able to. It's really unfair for the teachers to purchase supplies out of their own pockets.
