Coastside Open Studios This Weekend

Take a studio tour along the Coast, visit local artists, and shop for the holidays.

This Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. from La Nebbia Winery off Highway 92 through Half Moon Bay up Highway 1 to El Granada, Moss Beach and Montara, 13 artists will open their studios to the public, featuring the work of more than 20 Coastside artists, a collaboration of The Colony of Coastside Artists (CoCA).

CoCA is a group of more than 100 local artists, specializing in making fine art, mixed media, photography, textiles, jewelry and sculpture. Open Studios in May and November offers visitors an opportunity to see the artists in their studio environments, providing explanations and demonstrations of their materials and art process. The third annual Open Studios Tour also allows the public to purchase art directly from the artists.

Here’s a list of locations and days for this weekend’s Open Studios Tour. Total round-trip driving time to every studio listed is less than one hour. See the map here

We will all have nibblies and hot drinks and welcome guests with open arms. A lot of talent we have here on the coast with a wide range of items for sale from that little something special to larger pieces. I'll be doing a demo of printmaking of the Eiffel Tower in my studio (D - Poplar Street). Hope to see a good turnout tomorrow and Sunday.
