Calling All Artists: SSF Art Show Is On The Way

General art and sculpture show will take place in October.

Do you need a project to work on in order to help make it through the dog days of summer? Are you an artist looking for a venue to display your work? Or perhaps you are simply someone who enjoys observing the creative works of others?

If any of that applies to you, now is the time to start getting ready for the general art and sculpture show that will take place in South City.

Residents are invited to submit their art work for a show that will take place the first weekend of October. But if you are an artist who plans on participating, it may be wise to begin work now.

The show will include two-dimensional painting projects of any medium, including water colors, and sculptures. All submissions must be made by Wednesday, October 3, in order to be included in the event.

No photography or digital prints will be included in this program.

Those interested in submitting work may deliver their projects between the hours of 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. to the Betty Webber room at the at 33 Arroyo Drive.

Every year I buy more school supplies and art supplies for the teachers and they know they canRead More always count on me for more whenever needed. I'm a strong believer in encouraging children to be creative and get rid of the barriers to the freedom of self expression.

We help by asking teachers if they need anything. They'll drop hints and we'll go and purchase theRead More products. Most, if not all, parents are willing to help their children's classes if they are able to. It's really unfair for the teachers to purchase supplies out of their own pockets.
