SamTrans Community Meeting Thursday

South San Franciscans will talk with a SamTrans representative tonight about proposed route changes.

Tonight at the Magnolia Senior Center at 601 Grand Ave., SamTrans will present on route change proposals that have been in the works for over a year.

The extensive review and adjustment of SamTrans routes is a result of changing demographics on the Peninsula, as well as the company's major structural deficit that needs to be addressed.

South City routes 121, 132, 123 and 133 are all candidates for either discontinuation or changes.

SamTrans has held several open workshops around the county in recent months, and tonight's will be one of the final opportunities for riders to voice concerns about route changes.

The event tonight will run from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

A public hearing before the changes are implemented will also be held early next year.

Every year I buy more school supplies and art supplies for the teachers and they know they canRead More always count on me for more whenever needed. I'm a strong believer in encouraging children to be creative and get rid of the barriers to the freedom of self expression.

We help by asking teachers if they need anything. They'll drop hints and we'll go and purchase theRead More products. Most, if not all, parents are willing to help their children's classes if they are able to. It's really unfair for the teachers to purchase supplies out of their own pockets.
