Last Chance: Tech Girls Rock Conference

This feature highlights upcoming deadlines for events in South San Francisco.

This is the Last Chance for young women with a passion for science and technology to register to check out the Tech Girls Rock free conference taking place tomorrow in South San Francisco.

The event, which will take place at the , will give adolescent and teenage women between ages nine and 16 years old a glimpse at the variety of exciting opportunities offered by the science and technology industries.

During the conference, which operates all day from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., participants may turn their imagination into reality by operating a green screen and photoshop system, as well a become part of the virtual action by playing as motion-controlled video game characters on the Nintendo Wii and XBox 360 Kinect platforms.

Gift bags, prizes and plenty of information to spark a young mind's interest in pursuing a career in these exciting fields will be available. Breakfast and lunch will also be served.
