Contest: Where in South City Was This?

Welcome to the historical edition of our ever-popular contest, "Where in South City Was This?"

Brought to you with the help of the South San Francisco Historical Society, this contest tests your knowledge of your city's past.  If you come closest to guessing where this photo was taken, you will have your choice of two great prizes: a Patch tote bag or a $10 gift card to See's Candies.

The rules: post your answer in the comments before noon tomorrow, Jan. 25.  The most specific answer wins.  In case of a tie, the first entry wins.  One entry per person.  Open to legal residents of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia who are 18 and older.
