Pharmacy Fraud, Mall Fights and Harassment at Taco Bell

Selections from the police blotter for Feb. 4 to Feb. 6

Friday, Feb. 4

1:44pm  The victim of a hit-and-run accident reported that her car was damaged while parked at Chestnut Plaza. She returned to her car after shopping at Safeway to find damage to the driver side.

2:28pm  A pharmacist at CVS on El Camino Real called police to report a case of apparent prescription fraud. A female called in a prescription for pain medication that she would pick up later in the day, but when the pharmacist called the doctor to verify it, the doctor advised that it was false.

3:23pm  At All Souls Church on Walnut Avenue, a woman called police saying that four teens in a brown older model Chevrolet tried to run her off the road.

8:12pm  Police assisted Serramonte Mall security after a fight between four subjects broke out inside McDonald’s.

9:25pm  A resident on El Camino Real returned home to find her back door open and items stolen from inside her house.

Saturday, Feb. 5

12:17am  A caller in the Sister Cities/Hillside Boulevard area reported hearing what sounded like two Ford Mustangs racing up and down the streets for more than two hours.

9:05am  On Morningside Avenue, the window of a pickup truck was shattered by an apparent BB gun bullet sometime overnight.

2:53pm  Between twenty and thirty individuals were reported as drinking and loitering in the street on Eighth Lane. The caller was worried that they may be gang members.

Sunday, Feb. 6

3:14am  At Taco Bell on El Camino Real, an employee called police saying that a customer who had caused problems a few weeks earlier was making harassing phone calls to the store.

11:31am  A guest at Motel 6 on Mitchell Avenue got into a verbal altercation with front desk employees after leaving his dogs unattended in his room. When the front desk managers explained that he could not leave the dogs alone in the room, the man reportedly started screaming and swearing at them.
